Air Fryer Pickle Chips

These Air Fryer Pickle Chips are my new obsession! I love the crispy, tangy, and savory goodness of fried pickles

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup dill pickle slices (drained and patted dry)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or crushed pork rinds for a low-carb option)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • Cooking spray

For Serving:

  • Ranch dressing or spicy mayo for dipping
  • Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the Air Fryer:

Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat while you prepare the pickle chips.

2. Set Up the Breading Station:

In one shallow dish, whisk together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt.

In a second shallow dish, beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of pickle juice.

In a third shallow dish, mix the panko breadcrumbs with the Parmesan cheese (if using).

3. Coat the Pickles:

Dredge each pickle slice in the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.

Dip the floured pickle slice into the beaten egg mixture, making sure it’s fully coated.

Coat the pickle in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to all sides.

4. Air Fry the Pickles:

Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

Arrange the breaded pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches to avoid overcrowding.

Lightly spray the tops of the pickles with cooking spray for extra crispiness.

5. Cook:

Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping the pickles halfway through. Until they are golden brown and crispy.

6. Serve & Enjoy:

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley (if desired).

Serve immediately with ranch dressing or spicy mayo for dipping. Enjoy!
