Crunchy Beef Cheese Wraps are a hearty, satisfying snack or meal made with seasoned ground beef, two types of cheese, and crispy baked tortillas. Perfect for dipping in sour cream or topping with salsa, these wraps are easy to prepare and incredibly flavorful.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 packet taco mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
- 6 large flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup melted butter or cooking oil, for coating
- Sour cream, for dipping
- Salsa, for topping
- Fresh chopped cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion and crushed garlic until browned with no pink remaining. Drain excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning mix and water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Add both the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Warm the flour tortillas slightly to prevent cracking during folding.
- Spoon about 1/2 cup of the beef-cheese mixture into the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a burrito shape.
- Place the wraps seam-side down on the prepared baking tray. Brush each one generously with melted butter or oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wraps are golden brown and crunchy.
- Serve hot with sour cream, salsa, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.
Notes
- Warming the tortillas before folding makes them more flexible and prevents tearing.
- Use lean ground beef to minimize the amount of fat to drain.
- You can customize the filling with black beans, corn, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
- For extra crispiness, place the wraps under the broiler for 1-2 minutes at the end.
