Dill Pickle Popcorn

This Dill Pickle Popcorn is a flavor explosion! I’m a huge fan of both popcorn and dill pickles. So, I decided to combine these two loves into one incredibly addictive snack

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popped popcorn (about ½ cup unpopped kernels)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for depth)
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick)

  • ¼ cup finely grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra savoriness

Instructions

1. Pop the Popcorn:

If using the stovetop method, heat a little oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the popcorn kernels, cover the pot, and shake occasionally until the popping slows down.

If using an air popper, follow the manufacturer’s instructions. If using microwave popcorn, prepare according to package instructions.

2. Make the Seasoning:

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, pickle juice, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika (if using), and cayenne pepper (if using).

3. Toss the Popcorn:

Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl.

Drizzle the butter mixture over the popcorn while tossing gently to evenly coat all the kernels. Work quickly.

4. Add Parmesan (Optional):

If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the popcorn and toss again to distribute.

5. Serve & Enjoy:

Enjoy the Dill Pickle Popcorn immediately, while it’s still warm and crispy.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Although, it’s so good, leftovers are unlikely!
