Dill Pickle Shots

These Dill Pickle Shots are a surprisingly delicious and surprisingly popular party starter! I’m a big fan of both pickles and unique cocktail experiences. This shot combines those two interests in a surprisingly harmonious way

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz vodka (or tequila for a fun twist)
  • 4 oz dill pickle juice (from a jar of your favorite pickles)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
  • Ice
  • Pickle slices or spears (for garnish)

For the Rim (Optional):

  • 2 tbsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dill weed

Instructions

1. Prepare the Rim (Optional):

If you’re using the seasoned rim, mix the kosher salt, garlic powder, and dill weed on a small plate.

Run a pickle slice (or a lime wedge if you’re using lemon juice) around the rims of your shot glasses.

Dip the rims of the shot glasses in the salt mixture, coating them evenly.

2. Shake It Up:

In a cocktail shaker, add the vodka (or tequila), dill pickle juice, and lemon juice (if using).

Fill the shaker with ice.

Close the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the shaker is well-chilled.

3. Strain & Pour:

Strain the mixture into the prepared shot glasses (with or without the seasoned rim).

4. Garnish & Serve:

Garnish each shot with a mini pickle slice or spear.

Serve immediately and enjoy responsibly!
